Playground

Since the beginning of April we have a playground in our garden!  Thanks to Gerson, Reinhold and a mens’ team from the Vineyard Aachen!  It’s very special to the kids because in our area there are no well maintained public playgrounds….

Birthdays….

Here are a few impressions of our birthday celebrations, and the blowing out of the candles.  For many of these kids it is the first time in their lives they get to blow out the candles on a cake!  When there is no money, there is no birthday.

Desert Party March 2012

At the end of our two week study of deserts, we put on a desert party with dress-up as bedouins, tent, cactus cup cakes, camel crafts and races and lots of more fun.  We did this together with the Mother-Child Group and we had a blast!

Snow, snow…..snow!

…is what we had a lot of this February!  So much that schools were closed for 3 whole weeks!  We were still operating, except for a day or two that we absolutely had to close.

Since most of our preschool kids don’t have appropriate winter clothing (like snowsuits etc.), it was a big deal for them to put on snowsuits at the preschool and jump into the piles of snow in the backyard….Here are a few impressions.
